Lumanorth’s Learning Platform Shows Promise as Team Expands
Founded by business partners Richard Coates and Dinesh Kumar, who share a long history of developing successful business ventures together, the company boasts a full spectrum of software development capability and significant expertise in gaming and virtual reality.
New client wins range from regional SMEs, with projects including developing bespoke software to digitise processes and drive efficiencies, to gaming software support for Asia-based company Nyan Games.
Coates and Kumar also launched a joint venture with long-time business colleagues Tony Manwani and Jo Morgan of People Unboxed to create BentoBot, a bite-sized microlearning platform, which launched officially earlier this year.
Despite only being available for a short time, BentoBot is already proving popular and is now being used by a mix of organisations, including University of Leeds, KP Snacks, and Red Construction, and not least, McDonalds. Such has been the demand that the company has expanded its team with the addition of Damien Barrett, Head of Sales.
Richard Coates, Managing Director, commented, “Training software and content creation is an area we’ve ample experience in, so much so, that we were well aware of the gap in the market to create a new software-based solution that would respond to the changing needs of the learner and the L&D practitioner.
We developed BentoBot with our business partners, combining tech expertise with HR expertise to create a simple yet highly effective and highly immersive micro-model technology to suit today’s professionals.
We’ve demonstrated BentoBot at a few prestigious events to L&D practitioners and the response has been incredibly positive. We’re seeing a lot of interest in the product and we’ve reached a point where we needed to grow the team to develop.
We are delighted to welcome Damien to the team. He brings a wealth of experience, has a good understanding of tech, and no doubt will be hugely instrumental in helping us grow our customer base and business.”
A drive in promotion of the platform is only one aspect of the company’s development plans; ongoing content creation and co-creation with industry experts is further expanding the BentoBot repertoire while ensuring high relevance and high immersion.
